DigR app for iPhone and iPad

This is an iOS tool for finding potentially hundreds of tweets on a given word or subject and using a word cloud to display the summary of your results. So much faster and clearer to see the big picture this way. See what people are saying and what is the trending message.

Interested is spotting Black Swan events early? These are events that are considered rare but have huge consequences. If so then search around the edges of your word cloud for unexpected results and dig deeper to see if a new trend is emerging.

Digr uses up-to-the-second live tweet feed, so no two word clouds are the same. Store and run the same query over time to see how your chosen subject is changing as new thoughts and tweets are added. Publish your word cloud with commentary to a variety of platforms that you choose.

Start with your key word or phrase then drill down to discover hidden content. Just touch the word cloud for a list of all words and add (or subtract) a key word to your next search to home in on a specific subset of your first search. This app is far quicker than reading hundeds of tweets.

Additional features available in app settings:

- choose to display only 10 words in the word cloud to get the headlines or main message or select 25, 50, 75 or up to 100 to see the full story.

- See a word that you want to dig deeper, then touch the screen, and select the word from the alphabetical list. Add it to the search to dig one level down. Continue until you have homed in on the one or two relevant tweets.

- Remove irrelevant tweets with the "-" operator. E.g "Apple -harvest" to focus on the company not the fruit.

- choose your time period; this hour only or go progressively back to gather tweets from a maximum of 7 days old.

- interested in honest sentiment? Show individual R rated words or have them summarised into a G rated "?#@"&%!" string using the "group profanity" on/off switch.

- change font and select your favourite colour palette to maximize your readability and comprehension.

- email results (with or without supporting underlying tweets), or save as image, view underlying tweets (including their links to articles, pictures, video, etc), or simply post your findings to Twitter, Facebook or email.
